Frontline Plus has been around for a long time now and Comfortis has only been around for a short time, but in that short time it has made a big name for itself. Although both of these products treat dogs for fleas, there is many other differences between them. We did a comparison and write up comparing these 2 flea controls against each other. I have used both and let me tell you comfortis works a lot better.
Since giving my 3 dogs this comfortis, they have all come up with scabs and sores all over them? I can only put it down to the comfortis as they are 9 and 7 and have never had these issues before useing comfortis. If your dogs suffer any thing like this please let me know!!!
Sounds very interesting! I will check this out!

Comfortis, Frontline Top Spot, Frontline Plus - my three dogs and cat were all on flea control when we got a flea infestation this summer. We used nematodes, sulphur and diatomaceous earth in our yard and flea bombs in our house. We vacuumed every day. The fleas never let up! I might add we live in Austin, TX.
Finally, we took the advice of my daughter's boyfriend who grew up on a ranch in the area and we used Seven out in the yard. We still bomb our house every four weeks. We started using K9 Advantix ll after months of agony with the other flea meds we tried. My dogs are finally comfortable. The yard is finally no longer a source of fleas. Any fleas they do pick up, die quickly. K9 Advantix actually repels fleas, mosquitos, tics, etc. The other ones did not. The fleas are immune to the others we've used successfully in the past.
P.S. We were also doing weekly baths until recently. It does not "wash off" topical flea meds, as they are absorbed into the skin in about 24 hours, so no bathing, swimming or playing in the rain until after 24-48 hours.
